Dew Drop Social and Benevolent Hall, founded in 1885 in Mandeville, Louisiana, is steeped in rich history as the world's oldest virtually unaltered rural jazz dance hall. Established by local African American residents, the hall served mainly benevolent purposes, providing care for the sick and aid during a time when insurance was generally inaccessible to the community.

Today, the hall continues to celebrate its cultural legacy by hosting a variety of music performances, showcasing the talents of renowned local musicians like Tom McDermott and Debbie Davis. The venue remains dedicated to preserving its historical significance while facilitating a vibrant musical atmosphere for both locals and visitors alike.
