Established in 1978, LAAPA's River Ridge School of Music, Dance & Acting is a division of the Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts. The Academy offers private music lessons, dance classes, and acting classes to kids, teens, and adults in the New Orleans / Jefferson area, including Harahan, River Ridge, Metairie, Kenner, Destrehan, Lakeview, Gretna, and more. Our fun and inspiring instructors teach a variety of lessons, including: Music Lessons: Piano, guitar, voice, singing, drums, violin, trumpet, flute, clarinet, saxophone and more. Dance Classes: Ballet, hip hop, tap, contemporary, modern, preschool dance. Ensembles, acting classes and more!

Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts in Covington, LA (also known as LAAPA and Covington School of Music) was established on the Northshore in St. Tammany Parish in 2008, we have brought the joy of music, dance, and acting classes to thousands of families. We work with students in Covington, Madisonville, Hammond, Mandeville, Folsom, Abita Springs, Bush, Franklinton, Lewisburg, and surrounding areas. Our services include: - Music Lessons: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Singing, Drums, Violin, Cello, Trumpet, Clarinet, Saxophone, Songwriting and more. - Dance Classes: Ballet, Hip Hop, Tap - Drama Classes: Musical Theater, Acting - Toddler Classes Our university-trained instructors work with students of all ages and skill levels.
