Cmap Express
The Cenla Medication Access Program (CMAP) was established by The Rapides Foundation in 2001 to provide free or low-cost prescriptions to eligible clients, while also emphasizing the importance of appropriate medication usage. In addition, CMAP offers vital cancer screenings through a mobile van and a Healthy Lifestyle Program focused on chronic disease prevention through education on nutrition and physical activity.
Serving the Central Louisiana region, CMAP also provides the CMAP Extra prescription drug benefit card to reduce medication costs and supports healthcare access initiatives aimed at reducing health disparities. Through grants from The Rapides Foundation, CMAP promotes awareness of early cancer screenings, nutrition, physical activity counseling, and tobacco cessation support for underserved populations.
