This is such a beautiful and rich cafe to try- from many different perspectives!! First and foremost... on a more "superficial" level... the Calas are DELICIOUS. Texture, taste, sweetness......

Out of the way and likely overlooked by travelers who stick to the quarter but just north of the quarter you can get delicious gluten free calas (beignets) in the NO African-American Museum....
