Katrina has really remove a lot of the authentic beauty this place once had. Note: it's still gorgeous, but to think how it use to look with all of the cypress trees towering its marshy surface....

It's a pretty nice place but I dislike the railroad tracks there's not much seating area near the water but it is a peaceful serene place to be.

Chill place in the lower ninth. If you sit here long enough not only will you hear cool stories from the locals but the wildlife will amaze you too. Break from the city life without having to go...
