The Barksdale Defenders of Liberty Air Show is an impressive event organized by the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base, showcasing a mix of modern and historic military and civilian aircraft. First held in 1933, this weekend-long spectacle enhances public awareness of U.S. Air Force capabilities and celebrates Louisiana's significance as the home of the B-52 bomber.

The BAFB Open House is great if you like airplanes. I've been going since I was a kid and am now taking my kids. The static displays are fun to see as well as being able to talk to pilots about...

Loud as hell, but what do you expect from the home of b-52 aircraft! Their plane museum is super cool!
