The concern focused on two naturally-occurring bacterium, Vibrio vulnificus and Vibrio parahaemolyticus, which can be found in clean estuarine waters throughout the world. AmeriPure s all-natural, patented in-shell process removes all potentially harmful bacteria. The oysters are never opened during the treatment, so all of the natural juices remain.
