He was in private practice at Highland Clinic for two years before coming to the Arthritis & Rheumatology Clinic. A Louisiana native, Dr. Goodman is a graduate of Jesuit High School in Shreveport, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and the Louisiana State University School of Medicine (now LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine) in Shreveport. Dr. Goodman's post graduate training includes an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina and a fellowship in Rheumatology at the prestigious University of Tennessee Center for the Health sciences in Memphis, Tennessee. A member of the active staff at Christus Health Systems and Willis-Knighton Health Systems, he is a member of the following professional associations: American Medical Association, American College of Physicians; American Society of Internal Medicine; American College of Rheumatology; Past President Ark-la-Tex Arthritis Association; Shreveport Medical Society: Past Board Member, and Newsletter Editor; Louisiana State Medical Society; International Society for Clinical Densitometry-Certified.
