Alexandria Senior High School

Alexandria Senior High School, established in 1969, provides academic education and higher studies to students in grades nine through 12. The school enrolls more than 900 students and is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and Louisiana Board of Education. The school s curriculum includes English, mathematics, foreign languages, physical education, science and social studies. It also offers courses in business, such as accounting, business law, computer applications and multimedia productions. Additionally, the school offers courses in retail marketing, communication arts, family and consumer science, Web mastering and marketing education. The high school also offers the Marine Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program. It provides various extracurricular activities, such as music, choir, drama, debates and religious education. Alexandria Senior High School provides various sports activities, including basketball, baseball, cross country, swimming and tennis. The high school is located in Alexandria, La., and is a part of the Rapides Parish School District.
