1851 Mansion on St. Charles

A licensed bed and breakfast since 2005, this "mansion" is owned by Miss Paula, attorney and preservationist Miss Paula operated this B & B until Hurricane Katrina and just recently she re-opened in August 2017. Since then, she has hosted many guests from all over the world and has enjoyed having morning coffee with them at the B & B cafe' next door. Since purchasing the property 15 years ago, she has made many upgrades and improvements to the suites and rooms that are enjoyed everyday. This is real luxury with period antique furniture, gleaming hardwood floors, interesting private baths, 12' ceilings with lots of light or dim the lights. Its cool, its comfortable, its small, its quaint-- certainly not your cookie cutter place and a gracious staff who is always willing to help and our maintenance man lives in the back cottage so he can fix anything that goes wrong in these 170 year old gems--its truly living in history.
