Western Middle School for the Arts

Western Middle School maintains a staff of certified teachers that offers educational classes in music, art, physical education, reading, writing, social studies and math. The school provides social and academic education to students in grades six through eight. It has a counseling department that communicates with parents, teachers and administrators regarding student issues and needs. The school s library media center is an instructional support center for the students and staff to increase students reading skills and to improve their abilities to use technology and books. It has a parent-teacher association that sponsors educational and social programs, which compliment the classroom curriculum. Western Middle School is a part of the Jefferson County Schools and is located in Louisville, Ky.
