9 W Lexington Ave
Winchester, KY 40391
Housed inside a former horse-drawn firehouse, The Engine House originally opened in 1987 under Bob Tabor (inventor of River Rat Beer Cheese.) Following a renovation and revitalization early in 2020, the Engine House has returned better than ever. Former favorites like the Pizza Pun, the Chomp and Winchester's favorite sandwich, the Hot Ham Hoagie, have returned to the menu alongside new pizza offerings like the Tater, the Mater, the Down and Out and of course The Winchester. A full line-up of carefully curated local and craft beers, along with creative house invented cocktails round out the bar experience. With live music, theme nights and special events, there's always something going on inside what locals refer to as Winchester's living room.
