Stewart Home School

Stewart Home School, located in Frankfort, Ky., is a residential school for developmentally disabled people of all ages. The school offers education, vocational training and placement services. It also offers a variety of recreational activities and has students from throughout the United States and the world. The students have private and shared rooms and the windows offer views of the countryside. The classrooms offer reading, grammar, math, science, social studies, journalism, computer skills, health and wellness, academic enrichment, occupational skills, social skills, degree tutoring, advanced placement pursuits, music, and art and drama. Its extracurricular programs include swimming, physical education, fitness training, basketball, softball, golf, tennis, fishing, and equestrian and crafts. The school has an indoor health and fitness center that features workout areas and equipment, including treadmills, stationary bicycles, and an indoor walking and jogging track.
