The Division of Family Support, a division of Commonwealth of Kentucky, is responsible for administering several programs, including electronic benefit transfer, low-income home energy assistance, Kentucky transitional assistance program aid and Medicaid. The division also manages the Community Services Block Grant and nutrition education along with complaint resolution and policy development for all division program areas. It consists of four branches that include family self-sufficiency, medical support and benefits, nutrition assistance and accountability and policy development and oversight. The Division of Family Support also has sections that deal with welfare administration claims, adult guardianship cases and weatherization assistance program s. It maintains a location in Owensboro, Ky.
