Citizens National Bank, located in Somerset, Ky., provides financial products and services to residents of Pulaski County in Kentucky. It offers checking and savings accounts, direct deposit, CDs, IRAs, money market accounts, credit lines, mortgages, loans and trust and asset management services. The bank was founded in 1920 and operates 8 locations in Waitsboro, Somerset and Science Hill, Ky. It opened on February 14, 1920 at a location on Public Square in downtown Somerset. In order to capitalize the bank, 1,000 shares of stock were sold at $110.00 per share. The Bank opened with $100,000 in capital and $10,000 in surplus. In 2001, Citizens reached the milestone of attaining $300 million in assets.
