Selby Farms

Selby Farms, located in Russell Springs, KY, is a family-operated farm specializing in the breeding of Black Hereford cattle. Led by Darrell Selby, a retired agriculture educator and a lifetime member of the Kentucky Black Hereford Association, the farm has been actively involved in the American Black Hereford Association since 2013. With a focus on improving the economic basis of their program and promoting the qualities of the breed, Selby Farms aims to share their knowledge and expertise with other producers.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and a Masters of Science degree in Agriculture Education, Darrell Selby brings a wealth of experience to Selby Farms. Alongside his wife Sherri and son Alex, the family manages the day-to-day operations of the farm, with Sherri overseeing the computer application of the beef system. Through their dedication and passion for breeding cattle, Selby Farms strives to contribute to the future of the Black Hereford breed and provide genetic excellence to fellow breeders.
