Sawyer Dog Park, located within the expansive Tom Sawyer State Park in eastern Louisville, KY, spans approximately six acres and features designated areas for small dogs and all dogs. Opened in April 2004, it was the first official off-leash dog park in the community, providing ample shaded space thanks to numerous trees throughout the park.
The park is managed by the Sawyer Advisory Committee, a subcommittee of the Louisville Dog Run Association, which oversees daily operations, maintenance, and rule enforcement. Visitors are encouraged to obtain a Dog Park Permit to enjoy unlimited access while contributing to the park's upkeep and improvements.
