Harsimran S. Brar, M.D., is a pulmonary and critical care physician with Norton Pulmonary Specialists. He earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, and completed his internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the UofL School of Medicine. He is board-certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. Dr. Brar provides comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of lung conditions and critically ill patients. He provides care for patients with chronic and acute pulmonary diseases, and also for hospitalized patients in the intensive care unit and general wards. He is highly skilled in advanced procedures including bronchoscopies, thoracentesis, chest tube placement and tracheostomies. His clinical expertise includes management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, pneumonia, interstitial lung diseases and complex pulmonary conditions. Dr. Brar’s patient care philosophy emphasizes compassionate, personalized care, open communication and collaboration. He strives to ensure that patients understand their care plans and feel empowered to make informed decisions. He is committed to staying at the forefront of medical advancements to provide the most effective treatments and improve patients’ quality of life. Outside of work, Dr. Brar enjoys attending soccer matches to cheer on Louisville City FC, running, hiking, cooking, watching movies and reading Punjabi literature.

Benadin Varajic, M.D., is a pulmonologist with Norton Pulmonary Specialists. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and completed his residency at University of Louisville Hospital. Dr. Varajic specializes in pulmonary critical care and sleep medicine. He is committed to providing excellent evidence-based, personalized care for each patient. Originally from Bosnia, Dr. Varajic lived in Berlin, Germany, for six years, then moved to Kentucky in 1998. In his free time, he enjoys being active, watching movies, playing board games, and spending time with his friends and family.
