Shawn W. Adams, M.D., is a neurosurgeon with Norton Neuroscience Institute. He earned his medical degree from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee, and completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. He also completed a fellowship at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Adams specializes in spine surgery. He is interested in the complexity of the spine and learning how he can help his patients so they can get back to living an active life. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Adams enjoys spending time outside. He likes to bike, run, hunt, fish and enjoy the fresh air.

Whitney is a Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Endocrinology with Norton Community medical associates Endocrinology. Whitney was born and raised in Louisville, Ky. She attended undergrad at Galen College of Nursing and received her Bachelor’s degree from Spalding University. She went on to pursue her DNP at the University of Kentucky. She practiced as a Registered Nurse at Norton hospital prior joining the Endocrine office and her background there was in Neuro/spine. Whitney believes that education is a huge tool for patients to not only understand their health problems but to enable them to be more compliant and to better advocate and care for themselves. Educating the patient about their particular health issue is essential. Whitney enjoys time with her family especially her nephews and niece. She plays softball and loves outdoor activities. She has two dogs that she adores. She is also a huge University of Louisville fan and enjoys going to all sporting events.

Danova Andrea Lopez Fajerstein M.D., is an infectious diseases physician with Norton Infectious Diseases Specialists. Dr. Fajerstein earned her medical degree from the Higher University of San Simón, Cochabamba, Bolivia. She completed her internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital and an infectious diseases fellowship at the University of Louisville.Dr. Fajerstein believes in treating the patient with care and compassion while committing to help and guide the patient and family throughout their care journey.Outside of work, Dr. Fajerstein is passionate about swimming and staying physically active, which helps her stay sharp and focused.
