Epperson Waste Disposal owns and operates Grant County's only fully contained solid waste landfill. It accepts nonhazardous solid waste and is regulated and inspected by the Kentucky Division of Waste Management. Epperson Waste Disposal is part of Republic Services of Kentucky, which owns and operates several landfills in Kentucky. Republic Services of Kentucky has more than 600 employees in over 70 Kentucky counties. Epperson Waste Disposal features a recycling container and accepts glass, metal and aluminum cans, plastic, newspapers and corrugated cardboard. It additionally accepts washers, driers, refrigerators and freezers.
