Dr. Pugh has over 25 years of experience in the evaluation and management of patients with dementia and geriatric cognitive disorders. Before coming to Norton Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Pugh served 30 years in the U.S. Navy and was the founder and former chief of the geriatric medicine division at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Pugh’s goal is to provide his patients and family members with up-to-date information about their conditions and assist them in making health care choices that align with their goals. Inspired by his various duty stations during his military career, Dr. Pugh has a passion for international travel and enjoys fishing and kayaking. While stationed in Spain, he took up playing Spanish guitar and continues to enjoy learning this art form.
