Owned and operated by Peter & Kim Newberry, Newberry Bros. Coffee & Prohibition Bourbon Bar is a one-of-a-kind, award-winning Cafe & Bistro located in the historic East Row District of Newport, KY – across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, and just three blocks from Newport on the Levee attractions. Newberry Bros. Coffee was named "Best Independent Coffee House" by Cincy Magazine, and The Prohibition Bourbon Bar was recognized by The Bourbon Review as one of the "Top Bourbon Bars in America." Our Cafe features Organic, Fair-Trade coffee and espresso roasted on-site, and an amazing assortment of artisan pastries made from scratch. The evening menu features a great selection of decadent desserts and small plates. Our Prohibition Bourbon Bar features the largest collection of bourbon and rye whiskeys found anywhere. Bar none. Over 1,500 and counting. The full bar also has a great selection of Scotch, Irish, Tennessee and Japanese whiskeys, along with over 50 wines by the glass and/or bottle. And more than 50 craft beers. The Prohibition Bourbon Bar plays host to many bourbon tasting events throughout the year, with Special Guests from all of the major distilleries. We also offer the area’s only Bicycle Service Station (BSS), thanks to a generous donation from our friends from the Wyoming Cycling Club and the Levin Family Foundation. The BSS features a bike mount on which cyclists can change tires, fix chains and perform tune-up with an attached tool kit, and a pressure gauge pump for tire inflation. And, there is a Red Bike Station located across the street, and free on-street and off-street parking. We proudly support many local charities and frequently host fundraising events to benefit non-profit organizations such as Stray Animal Adoption Program (SAAP), The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Cincinnati, Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, and many others.
