Kent L. Walker, D.O. is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with Norton Children’s Orthopedics of Louisville. Dr. Walker obtained an undergraduate degree at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and medical school at DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. He attended residency at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee and completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Walker enjoys treating all orthopedic conditions including fractures, sports injuries, and foot and ankle problems, with special interests in pediatric spine conditions like scoliosis and neuromuscular spine conditions. “We have something very unique in pediatric orthopedics that our counterparts in adult orthopedics do not have,” said Dr. Walker. “Not only do we have the child (patient), we have a whole team of supporters (parents, grandparents, siblings, etc.) and the physician, that when we all work together and are on the same team, it is a beautiful thing that helps the child heal.” Dr. Walker is a current member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. He is married with three children. When he is not working, he loves being active and outdoors. A fun fact about Dr. Walker is he played four years of college soccer at Belmont University, an NCAA Division I school, so naturally he and his family love sports.

Dr. Jacks’ mission is focused on helping children reach their maximum function possible. She uses a team approach to care for patients with complex orthopedic conditions. Participating in multidisciplinary clinics allows Dr. Jacks to work together with physicians and therapists to provide cohesive, integrated care in as few patient visits as possible. Dr. Jacks is medical director of the Kid’s Center for Pediatric Therapies in Louisville. She provides consultative and surgical services to the Home of the Innocents and treats children with fragile bone diseases at the Metabolic Bone Clinic. Dr. Jacks and her partners also provide services through the Kentucky Commission for Children with Special Health Care Needs in Louisville and Owensboro, Kentucky. Away from the office Dr. Jacks spends as much time as she can with her husband and son. They enjoy sports, outdoor activities and traveling in their RV. They are avid football fans and like to tailgate at University of Louisville games. Although football is her favorite sport, Dr. Jacks and her family also enjoy soccer and cycling. Josh Meier, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in pediatric orthopedics. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, then completed a general orthopedic surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. Dr. Meier completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery and scoliosis at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas.
