Katelyn L. Thompson, APRN, is a family nurse practitioner with Norton Community Medical Associates. She earned her bachelor degree in nursing from University of Kentucky School Nursing, Lexington, and her master’s degree in nursing from Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights. He is part of a design team bringing forth the next generation of orthopedic innovations, including the latest evolution of stemless total shoulder implants, robotic-assisted shoulder replacement surgery and the use of mixed reality in these surgeries.In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Krupp serves as the executive medical director of orthopedics and the director of sports health and shoulder reconstruction for Norton Healthcare. In that role, he leads Norton Healthcare initiatives to improve the care of athletes in Louisville and surrounding areas with programs such as injury-prevention education, clinical research, Saturday Sports Injury Clinics, certified athletic trainer education, athletic event coverage and community partnerships. Dr. Krupp currently serves as team physician for numerous athletic programs in Louisville, including Bellarmine University, Eastern High School and Kentucky Country Day School.Outside of work, Dr. Krupp enjoys spending time with his family, participating in a wide array of sporting activities, working out and traveling.

Nathan L. McKinney, D.O., CAQSM is an orthopedic sports medicine physician with Norton Orthopedic Institute. He specializes in nonsurgical orthopedic care for adolescents and adults. Dr. McKinney earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University–DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and a fellowship in sports medicine at TriHealth/Bethesda Family Practice Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. McKinney is certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine, and also certified as a clinical exercise physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He has special interests in ultrasound-guided injections and diagnosis, orthobiologics, sports nutrition and biomechanics. His goals of care are to efficiently provide an accurate diagnosis, empower patients with the knowledge of potential treatment options, and return patients to their desired level of activity in a safe and timely manner. Dr. McKinney previously served as team physician for Xavier University, Mt. St. Joseph University and Summit Country Day High School, all in Cincinnati, Ohio. Currently, he serves as medical co-director of jockey care at Churchill Downs, as well as team physician for Bellarmine University in Louisville and Hanover College in Indiana. A former track and field athlete at Bellarmine University, he now continues his passion for both competitive and recreational athletics in a variety of sports. He most enjoys his time spent outside with his family and friends.
