Joint Sewer Agency
The Paducah McCracken County Joint Sewer Agency (JSA) was established on July 1, 1999, to manage the operation and maintenance of the combined sanitary and storm sewer systems in Paducah and McCracken County. With a vast network that includes 385 miles of gravity sanitary sewer and multiple wastewater treatment facilities, the JSA is dedicated to providing efficient wastewater collection and treatment services to the community.
The agency is committed to infrastructure rehabilitation and has invested over $14 million in the rehabilitation of more than 55 miles of sewer lines since 2007. Governed by a seven-member board, the JSA focuses on maintaining and improving its services through revenue generated from wastewater treatment fees and charges for extending wastewater lines to new customers.
