LASIK removes tissue within the cornea to treat low to high levels of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism. With the newest technology, we are now able to treat even wider ranges of refractive errors safely with outstanding results. This means that people who were not LASIK candidates with older technology may now be able to enjoy freedom from glasses and contact lenses.
