Each year the HBAL presents Homearama, one of the premier parade of homes in the region, showcasing the latest in architecture, technology, design, and style. Key Homes participated in the show in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2009 and was named Third Place Grand Prize Award Winner in 2003. Ranked in the Top 20 Largest Home Builders by Business First 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009. Billy started his career in the home building industry as a teenager working for a local developer sweeping homes and mowing yards. As his knowledge of the industry grew so did his passion for building outstanding homes. After graduation from Eastern High School in1993, Billy worked full time during the day as a construction superintendent while earning his Bachelors in Business from the University of Louisville in the evenings. In September 1999, combining his job site management experience and business knowledge, Billy ventured out on his own to establish Key Homes, LLC. After 11 years in business, Key Homes, LLC has built numerous homes throughout the greater Louisville Area, primarily focusing on Oldham, Shelby & Eastern Jefferson counties. Billy?s business ventures have expanded over the years to include land development, commercial real estate and residential rental properties. Along with owning and operating Key Homes, LLC and several other entities, Billy is actively involved in the Home Builders Association of Louisville, serving on the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and various committees throughout the years. He is honored to serve the Association in 2011 as President and looks forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead.
