1100 Trevilian Way
Louisville, KY 40213

The HerpAquarium at the Louisville Zoo offers an immersive experience into the world of cold-blooded creatures, showcasing a diverse array of species including alligators, Gila monsters, and enormous boa constrictors. Visitors can embark on an expedition down the Amazon River to encounter black piranhas and even venture into a Mexican mineshaft to meet vampire bats.

Designed to group species by climate rather than geographic origin, the exhibit features three main biomes: aquatic, forests, and arid lands. In addition to the HerpAquarium, guests can enjoy nearby attractions such as the Ropes Adventure Courses and various conservation efforts that the zoo actively supports both locally and globally.
