Burrows Garage & Wrecker Service is a family owned and operated business since 1917. For five generations, we have provided services to the transportation industry. Located just off Interstate 71 exit 28, we have been in operation on U.S. 42 in Sligo, KY since great-grandfather began shoeing horses and repairing wagons after the turn of the century. Evolving with the industry, we have specialized equipment and skilled technicians to repair the majority of breakdowns in our area. We service suspension, chassis, brakes, drive train and engines, as well as preventative maintenance and unscheduled service repairs. We have hydraulic hose manufacturing capabilities, and stock new Michelin as well as Bandag dealer-stock retreaded casings.We offer 24 hour road service, with 2 fully equipped service vehicles. From our first hand-operated mechanical wrecker, mounted on a 1930's vintage Cadillac chassis ( with wooded-spoke wheels ) converted into a cab & chassis by Grandfather Jesse Burrows, we have developed into a 21st century towing and recovery company with Century hydraulic wreckers mounted ontri-axle chassis complementing our older mechanical Holmes Units. With lifting capacities exceeding 50 tons, and towing capabilities to handle the largest rigs on the road, we are able to respond to any type of emergency involving accidents or disablements.We accept Comdata checks, CIS checks, Greenbacks, Fastrack, EFS, Western Union, and yes, we still accept government currency ( CASH ).
