DR Philip D Fitzgerald MD

Dr Allegra Saving, M.D. F.A.C.S. is a board-certified general surgeon with Norton Surgical Specialists/Louisville General Surgery since 2017. Prior to that, Dr. Saving was part of the Department of Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle. She earnedher undergraduate degree from Marquette University where she graduated magna cum laude and was captain of the woman's varsity crew as a senior. She receivedher medical degree from Wayne State University and did her general surgery training at the Medical College of Wisconsin, serving as chief surgical resident in her final year.Dr Savings professional interests include advanced laparoscopy/robotic surgery, hernia disease, colorectal surgery, breast disease, and endocrine surgery. She is a nationally recognized specialist in hernia repair/abdominal wall reconstruction as both a published author and speaker at several surgical society meetings.Outside of her surgery practice, she spends her time with her husband, Dr. Benjamin Lerner, who is also a surgeon with Norton, her two young boys and their dog. She can often be found jogging or riding bikes with kids in tow and in the kitchen cooking for her hungry crew. In the fall, she enjoys spending time with her extended family at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin, where she remains a season ticket holder for her beloved Green Bay Packers.
