Laura B. Cornwell, M.D., is a Louisville native who earned her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Louisville. She completed her residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY where she served as chief resident and won awards for clinical care, educational pursuits and research accomplishments. Dr. Cornwell completed a clinical and research fellowship in Pediatric Urology at Rady Children’s Hospital – San Diego and University of California San Diego’s Department of Urology. "I plan to continue to work on clinical research projects and quality improvement projects while at Norton. My areas of interest are 1) understanding the impact of childhood urological disease on kidney health and 2) minimizing patient risks, harms in the management of urological issues in children." - Dr. Cornwell

Jennifer Brey, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in pediatric orthopedics. Dr. Brey earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. She completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee. In addition to offering a full range of orthopedic care for children, Dr. Brey has special interests in pediatric sports injuries and trauma. Dr. Brey’s mission is to help children return to their preinjury function as quickly as possible while working with families to reduce the chance of future injury. She works closely with therapists, trainers and coaches to reduce sports injuries among children and adolescents. Dr. Brey aims to treat patients with nonsurgical care when possible, but does perform arthroscopic surgeries when needed. Dr. Brey is on staff at Norton Children’s Hospital and Norton Children’s Medical Center. She also has a clinical faculty appointment with the University of Louisville School of Medicine Department of Orthopedic Surgery. She is currently the medical provider for the Western High School Warriors athletic teams. She is a founding member of the Pediatric Research in Sports Medicine (PRiSM) society and is active in research regarding meniscus tears, ACL injuries, cartilage injuries, and knee fractures in pediatric and adolescent athletes. Many of Dr. Brey’s former patients are now playing or have played at the high school and collegiate levels. A native of Louisville, Dr. Brey has been practicing in her hometown since 2011. Away from the office, she and her family enjoy UofL athletics, where Dr. Brey earned four varsity letters in swimming. Dr. Brey is a member of U.S. Masters Swimming and USA Triathlon. She is a multiple-time Ironman finisher and competed at the Ironman World Championships in 2022.

AcuteCare of Elizabethtown is a center providing emergency health care services, including treatments for minor burns, sprains, minor fractures, skin infections, rashes, bites, flu, sore throats, and ear infections. The center also provides treatment for respiratory infections, chronic headaches, back pain, nose bleeding and asthma. The center offers physician and nursing services and has an in-house laboratory for conducting various tests, including X-rays. It accepts most insurance plans, and is operational Monday through Friday. Its staff includes specially trained physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, laboratory, and X-ray personnel. AcuteCare of Elizabethtown serves Hardin County and is located in Elizabethtown, Ky.
