Communicare Clinics

Established in 1967, Communicare is a medical care organization that provides mental heath and substance abuse services to individuals and families. It serves the residents of Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson and Washington counties in Kentucky. The organization offers community habilitation and vocational services that provide contract-based employment opportunities to individuals from local businesses. Communicare features a crisis prevention program that supports people who have suffered from tragic episodes in life. It also maintains a regional prevention center that provides drug prevention services through consultation, education, training, technical assistance, information distribution, policy development and environmental strategies. The organization additionally offers outpatient services that include chemical dependency assessments, couple counseling, women-oriented programs, and individual, group and family therapies. Communicare is located in Elizabethtown, Ky.
