The location is not too far from Frankfort, and a longer way from Lexington. I suspect many visitors will be passing through for a distillery tour or something like that because there's not a ton...

Our outdoor play group did a meet up here and was going to do the white and blue trails. But we got literally 100 yards into the path and discovered HUNDREDS of baby ticks on all 10 members...

This is a nice place to go for a short hike or a walk through the woods. There are a few different trails, mostly less than a mile each. We spent about an hour and a half enjoying the scenery here.

Took the family here for a hike. Nice, wide, well-maintained trails, but despite being a wildlife sanctuary, didn't see a single animal of any kind. Trails are fairly well-marked with paint on...

Always a fan of a place to escape and get into nature. This sanctuary is tucked away in a beautiful corner of Kentucky.
