Dr. Crawford is a Louisville native and takes great pride in providing world-class spine care to both the local people of the regions, as well as those that travel great distances to the Leatherman Spine Center. After finishing at the top of his medical school class, Dr. Crawford matched into the very competitive Orthopaedic Surgery Residency program at the University of Louisville. From there he continued his Spine Surgery Fellowship training at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis. He felt very fortunate to join the prestigious Leatherman Spine Center team in 2009.Since then he has continued to pursue his passion for improving spine patient care through his busy day to day clinical practice, as well as his teaching and research at both the Leatherman Spine Center and the University of Louisville Department of Orthopaedic Surgery where he serves as an Associate Professor. His clinical focus is the surgical treatment of all forms of spine pathology in both children and adults.

Dr. Djurasovic received his undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. He attended medical school and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at The Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, NY. He did his spine Fellowship training at the Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, KY. He has been a staff surgeon at the Norton Leatherman Spine Center since 2003. Dr. Djurasovic is a nationally recognized leader in spinal surgery. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Louisville and also holds multiple physician leadership positions within the Norton Healthcare community. He is a member of the North American Spine Society, Scoliosis Research Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Kirk Owens, M.D. is a native of Maysville, Kentucky. He graduated Cum Laude from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. He attended medical school at the University of Louisville where he both graduated Magna Cum Laude and was accepted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Society. He completed his residency at the University of Louisville and a spine fellowship at the Norton Leatherman Spine Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Following fellowship, he became a staff surgeon for Norton Leatherman Spine Center where he has practiced since 2011. He also serves as a Clinical Instructor at the University of Louisville Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Owens spends his free time with his wife, children, and enjoying outdoor sports.
