Norton Heart & Vascular Institute – Women’s Heart Program – St. Matthews offers specialized cardiovascular care tailored to women’s unique health needs. Located on the third floor of Norton Medical Plaza 3, this program provides comprehensive evaluation and management for conditions such as high blood pressure, atrial fibrillation, ischemic heart disease, and spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD). Led by board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiologists with expertise in cardio-obstetrics, the program also collaborates with Norton Children’s Maternal-Fetal Medicine to support heart health during pregnancy and menopause. Dr. Cornett was born in Virginia and received his medical training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Dr. Cornett completed his residency at the University of Louisville Department of Radiation Oncology and served on the faculty there for four years. He is board certified in radiation oncology. Dr. Cornett joined Norton Cancer Institute in 2000.
