Andrew R Buckley, DO

Navjyot Kaur Vidwan joined Norton Children’s in 2013. Her background includes a double major in Biology as well as Anthropology from Vanderbilt University. She completed medical school training at University College Dublin (Ireland). This experience helped broaden her global view on the different styles of healthcare delivery. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in the Pediatric Infectious Diseases training fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s. She was chosen as one of twelve clinical fellows in the nation to be granted an NIH Fogarty International Research Fellow Grant. She completed an MPH at UNC-Chapel Hill on Global Health and Leadership with distinctions in project management and quality. With a public health perspective, she strives to focus on health equity and delivery for her patients and recognizes how social determinants of health impact daily medical needs. Dr. Vidwan is the antimicrobial stewardship director at Norton Children’s Hospital. Her other passion is quality improvement and enjoys projects which encompass her work in both the pediatric hospitalist and ID divisions. She also enjoys teaching and is the Associate Pediatric Medical Student Clerkship Director.

Dr. Kim joined the University of Louisville Division of Pediatric Cardiology in 2007. Under his leadership, the interventional cardiac catheterization team at Norton Children’s Hospital and the University of Louisville provides the most up-to-date procedures without the need for open heart surgery, including implanting artificial heart valves (Melody valve, Sapien valve) and closing abnormal blood vessels in premature infants weighing less than 3 pounds. Dr. Kim’s cardiac catheterization laboratory is a part of a national collaborative, the Congenital Cardiac Catheterization Project on Outcomes (C3PO), ensuring the best outcomes and continuous improvement. Dr. Kim manages patients in our Single Ventricle Clinic, which participates with the National Pediatric Cardiology – Quality Improvement Collaborative (NPC-QIC), a group of children’s hospitals across the US working to improve care for infants with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS).

Kent L. Walker, D.O. is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon with Norton Children's Orthopedics of Louisville.Dr. Walker obtained an undergraduate degree at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and medical school at DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. He attended residency at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee and completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee.Dr. Walker enjoys treating all orthopedic conditions including fractures, sports injuries, and foot and ankle problems, with special interests in pediatric spine conditions like scoliosis and neuromuscular spine conditions."We have something very unique in pediatric orthopedics that our counterparts in adult orthopedics do not have," said Dr. Walker. "Not only do we have the child (patient), we have a whole team of supporters (parents, grandparents, siblings, etc.) and the physician, that when we all work together and are on the same team, it is a beautiful thing that helps the child heal."Dr. Walker is a current member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Osteopathic Association. He is married with three children. When he is not working, he loves being active and outdoors. A fun fact about Dr. Walker is he played four years of college soccer at Belmont University, an NCAA Division I school, so naturally he and his family love sports.
