Aikido of Ashland KY is a small dojo located in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, dedicated to the principles of Aikido under the direction of Tom Berry Sensei, 6th Dan Shidoin. Originally founded in 1980 by Ariff Mehter Sensei, the dojo is affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation and Aikido World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
Aikido, developed by Morihei Ueshiba, known as O Sensei, is a non-competitive martial art focused on achieving harmony through circular motion and blending techniques.
