History

The Studio School of Dance was established in 1978 by Kim Bowen Harbor.

Specialties

Movement and dance are wonderful ways for children to express themselves. At The Studio School of Dance we encourage this exploration in a safe and caring environment. We believe that children have the right to learn creative movement through choreography and dancewear that are appropriate to their age and consistent with our goal of reinforcing a healthy sense of self in each child. We believe dance is an art that builds confidence through self-expression, not exploitation, and our teaching methods, costumes, and dance movements reflect this belief. Each and every child at The Studio brings a special gift and we celebrate all of them equally. A child will learn so much more than dance at The Studio. They will build character.
