Sticks of Thunder Academy

Sticks of Thunder Academy, based in Overland Park, KS, is an innovative percussion group inspired by the original Sticks of Thunder troupe that gained fame in the U.S. with sold-out performances at Kansas City's Union Station auditorium. The academy focuses on developing musical and acting skills in its members while performing a mix of custom-written pieces and classic literature from the original group.

Founded by renowned music and film producer Curtis Pickering, SOTA aims to motivate and educate high school and college students through a credit-based curriculum led by accomplished musician educators.
