He completed a fellowship at the University of Missouri Hospitals and Clinics. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Dr. Nizar Talaat is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subcertification in gastroenterology. He completed a fellowship in transplant hepatology at Mayo Clinic Health System, a fellowship in gastroenterology at East Carolina University and a fellowship in Hepatology at the University of Missouri - Columbia and the University of Michigan. He earned his medical degree from the University of Khartoum and completed his residency at Oakwood Health System.

Dr. Punam Shastri is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She earned her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences and completed her residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
