Robinson is a city in Brown County, Kansas, United States. The population was 216 at the 2000 census. Robinson was named to honor the first governor of the State of Kansas, Charles Robinson. It had formerly been known locally as "Lickskillet" derived from the practice of an old trapper who allegedly put his dirty dishes out for his dog to lick clean.
