Rhein Benninghoven Elementary

Benninghoven Elementary is a public school that provides academic services to more than 645 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. It is a part of the Shawnee Mission Public School, which operates over 45 educational institutions with a combined enrollment of nearly 28,500 students. Benninghoven Elementary maintains a student council, safety patrol team and math club. The school organizes a variety of extracurricular activities, such as family fun bingo nights, picture days, fall festivals, book fairs and parent-teacher conferences. Located in Shawnee Mission, Kan., Benninghoven Elementary employs a staff of approximately 65 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals that includes classroom teachers, library aides, physical education instructors, special educators, guidance counselors, music professionals, and speech and language pathologists.
