People in Need (PIN) is a local nonprofit organization based in Salina, KS, that provides financial management services for individuals who are unable to handle their own finances, particularly Social Security recipients. With a dedicated team of volunteers, PIN ensures that clients have access to essential needs such as housing, utilities, medicine, food, and clothing, preventing homelessness and financial instability.

Founded by Kathy Jackson, PIN has grown significantly since its establishment a year and three months ago, now serving 93 clients across Salina, Herington, Ellsworth, and Belleville. Most of the program participants have mental disabilities, and PIN's mission is to alleviate the stress of bill payments and guide them towards responsible financial choices.
