Rawlins County Hospital began as an idea that originated in the Atwood Rotary Club through the untiring efforts of Dr. C.E. Henneberger, M.D. The facility opened in 1950 as Rawlins County Hospital. The hospital was leased to and operated by the Sisters of St.

Established in 1953, Graham County Hospital is a 25-bed acute care facility that offers a range of inpatient and outpatient services. Located in Hill City, Kan., it provides treatment solutions for patients with diabetes and heart problems. The center operates a cardiology, diabetic, orthopedic surgery and podiatry clinics.
