With a workforce of approximately 20,000 passionate individuals, the NPS collaborates with various partners to enhance community revitalization and outdoor recreation across the country.

Authorized to use the iconic arrowhead emblem since 1951, the NPS represents the rich tapestry of the nation's landscapes, wildlife, and historical values. The agency not only protects these special places but also engages citizens and organizations in the stewardship of their local heritage and natural environments.
