Leawood Presbyterian Church

Leawood Presbyterian Church is a community of Christ-followers that is striving to be more about BEING the church rather than just GOING to church. Drawing off the concepts of the Hebrew word sh'ma, we are learning how to live lives that aren't dichotomized into church, work and play but instead focusing on lives that are fully integrated for the glory of God. We're seeking to discover God in new ways and to listen for His voice as we go about day-to-day life instead of just putting Him in a box only to be taken out on Sunday. We long to be a community that lives out a picture of Godly love in day-to-day life and impacts our community with sound biblical teaching and cultural relevance. What does "cultural relevance" mean? It doesn't mean abandoning the principles of truth or Christ. It DOES mean presenting these truths in a way that has the greatest opportunity to reach a new and changing generation.
