Konza Prairie Biological Station, located in Junction City, Kansas, is a 3,487-hectare native tallgrass prairie preserve jointly owned by The Nature Conservancy and Kansas State University. It operates as a field research station dedicated to long-term ecological research, education, and prairie conservation, providing a unique outdoor laboratory for the study of tallgrass prairie ecosystems and basic biological and environmental research.

The station, situated in the Flint Hills region, encompasses one of the largest remaining areas of unplowed tallgrass prairie in North America. With its shallow limestone soils and rolling hills, the preserve retains much of its native characteristics and offers scientists and students from around the world the opportunity to conduct research on a wide range of taxa and processes. Since its establishment in 1971, Konza Prairie Biological Station has been a hub for scientific exploration, resulting in numerous scientific papers and graduate student theses and dissertations.
