About Horton's Furniture Life must have been exciting in 1946 when Frank and Frances Horton opened their first store in Frank's home town of Argonia Kansas. Frank knew that if they offered quality home furnishings at a reasonable price and added exceptional customer service, people would respond. After acquiring all of the available retail space in Argonia, Frank and Frances opened a second store in Wellington. For twenty-two years Frank's vision proved to be correct. People came from Liberal, Dodge City and Garden City, as well as Oklahoma and found exceptional values on home furnishings and floor coverings. At the same time, the stores were also attracting customers from Wichita and the surrounding areas. In 1968 Frank and Frances built a 53, 000 square foot store on West Highway 54 in Wichita and closed the Argonia store. Due to strong demand for quality home furnishings, the store continued to expand over the years. That sense of excitement that Frank and Frances had in 1946 continues today at Horton's. The store has expanded to 105, 000 square feet and now features galleries of Thomasville, Berkline, and Lacrosse furniture. People now come to Horton's from all over the state to shop. A lot has changed since 1946, but what has not changed is Horton's reputation for quality home furnishings and exceptional customer service.

Large selection, but not friendly service; pushy. Strange way to close out a business by allowing g customer to give them a price for items-

I bought my complete office furniture set in Oct. 2019. Within a year one corner of the desk started to show where it had been repaired. I should have but didn't fuss. Now four plus years later...
