The Edna A. Hill Child Development Center (CDC) is operated by the Department of Applied Behavioral Science within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Kansas. Established in 1943, the CDC provides state-of-the-art teacher training in early intervention and education, serving approximately 60 children aged 12 months to 7 years in specially designed classrooms.

The center offers a full-day program for toddlers, known as the Sunnyside Toddler Program, as well as two full-day preschool programs, Educare I and II. These programs cater to both typically developing children and those with diverse abilities, including developmental disabilities and language differences, while also providing early intervention services for children with autism and other developmental challenges.
