The Wolf Creek Generating Station, located near Burlington, Kansas, is the state's only nuclear power plant, producing over 1,200,000 kilowatts of electricity, enough to power approximately 800,000 homes. With a construction cost of $3 billion, the plant is licensed to produce up to 3,565,000 kilowatts and is scheduled to operate until 2045.

Adjacent to the facility is the Dwight D. Eisenhower Learning Center, situated on the edge of a 160-acre Environmental Education Area that features three self-guided trails. While the center is primarily designed for group visits, it offers an engaging experience with a Control Room Simulator demonstration available by appointment.
